A medium sized bowl made from black walnut and crushed alabaster. Black walnut is the most valuable domestic hardwood and is prized for a deep chocolate color. This bowl has some naturally occurring voids which were filled with alabaster stone that I crushed by hand. The milky white color of the alabaster contrasts pleasingly with the richness of the black walnut.
The bowl will make a wonderful display item, one that is sure to be noticed. Or it can be put to work holding dry items like candy, snacks, keys, craft items, or what-have-you.
Its approximate measurements are 7-1/2” across by 3” high.
