Small wood bowl made of Holly and turquoise
Holly bowl with inlaid rim. A beautiful and unusual bowl made from a neighbor's holly tree. The inlay in the rim was cut in and filled with genuine turquoise stones that I crushed by hand. A laborious process, indeed, but the depth and variation of colors and shapes adds an unmatched authenticity.
The satin appearance and silky feel result from a linseed oil and natural beeswax finish.
The bowl measures approximately 4-1/4" by 1-1/4".
It will lend interest and elegance wherever you display it. Of course, it would also make an appreciated gift.
