Large oak platter

A beautiful yet practical oak platter.   This platter doubles as a tray.  The sweeping sides end in a flared curve that provides better purchase for your fingers.  The bottom is smooth and perfectly flat.  It is just the right thickness to be sturdy and durable, without adding unnecessary weight to whatever you might carry.  

It can be used to store dry items, such as fruit, jewelry, remote controls and glasses.

The platter measures about 11.5" by 1.5" and is finished with food-safe oil and beeswax.

While utilitarian by design, it also has graceful lines and distinctive color and grain pattern.  It would add a decorative touch as a display item on a table or sideboard.  It would also make an appreciated gift.
